Tim Suppe (Clinton, 1985-1997)
|
|
Tim Suppe was the assistant
coach at Clinton High Scholl
from 1985 to 1991 and then
became the head coach from
1991 to 1999. Clinton
won 5 straight Section 3
Division 2 championships
from 1991 thru 1997. No
small feat in itself.
In the 1995-96 season
Tim led Clinton to the
ultimate prize the New York
State Division 2 State
Championship.
Clinton's record
under Tim was an amazing
124-31-7. In 3 straight
seasons from 1994 thru 1997
they were 70-3-2.
Tim played HS hockey at
Clinton HS as did his
father. Tim played pro
hockey with the Taconia
Lakers, coached youth hockey
in Clinton for 20 years, and
was an official.
Tim's other
activities include Kirkland
Sports Hall of Fame, US Army
veteran 1964-67, 15 years as
a Pop Warner coach, coached
modified football 6 years
and was the varsity track
coach at Clinton for 9
years.
Tim's wife Sue is a
nurse at Clinton Elementary
School. They have 3
children and 3 grand
children. Tim has been a
real credit to his community
and country.

2009, for his
dedication to the
sport as a truly
great coach who has
contributed
noteworthy service
to New York State
high school hockey. |
