Craig Darby
grew up in the small, central
New York town of Oneida playing
his high school hockey at Albany
Academy. While at Albany
he played in
three State Championship
games with 1988, 1990 and Albany's
championship year 1991.
Craig went on to play his
collegiate hockey at Providence
College, where he earned Hockey
East Rookie-of-the-Year and
All-Rookie Team honors in
1992.
In 1991, he was selected
by the Montreal Canadiens in
round 2, 43rd overall in
1991 NHL Entry Draft and
went on to play for several
teams in the NHL and AHL to
include the New York Islanders,
Philadelphia Flyers,
Montreal Canadiens and New
Jersey Devils, and Worcester
IceCats, and Albany River Rats.
While at Albany, he earned
First-Team American Hockey
League All-Star honors n 1998.
Since 2006, Craig
has been with the Ausburger
Panther of the DEL in Germany.

Hall of Fame, March
2000, for his
dedication to the
sport as a truly
great player. |
