Gary Ryan graduated from Lyon
Mountain High School and
SUNY-Plattsburgh. He did not
play hockey in high school or
college as it was not offered.
He did, however, play local
hockey during and after his
college days.
As with all his coaching, he
believes that learning the game
in order to impact that
knowledge on the players is
vital. He attended
clinics/seminars in an attempt
to improve his ability to
provide more for his players.
Gary actually began his coaching
career in the summer of 1967,
coaching 9 and 10 year-old
baseball players. This ignited
a love of coaching that has
lasted 43 years. He hopes to
coach for many more.
